Canyamel
Canyamel is situated at seven kilometres from Cala Ratjada, between Cap des Pinar or des Raix and Cap Vermell. It is a valley through which the torrent with the same name flows the whole year, where ducks and marine birds live, and next to Serra de Sant Jordi and Puig Negre. This touristic and residential area is located nearby a wetland formed by the torrent in its mouth. The beach is beautiful and you can also visit the Coves (caves) d Artà (450 metres wide and 310 metres long), the second in Majorca, situated in the cliffs of Cap Vermell and visited by Jules Verne, Victor Hugo or Alexandre Dumas and others. This fine-grained golden sandy area is very crowded by local visitors and tourists.
La Victoria & Smugglers cave
This excursion takes you through the coast and the mountains of the northern peninsula and is a great way to see the best nature in Mallorca. Moreover, the peninsula La Victoria is considered one of the most beautiful spots on the island because of its unspoilt nature and the beautiful landscapes. After the hike you can enter a cave once used by smugglers. This hike is great for both beginners and experts and takes you through an area declared as a “Natural Area of Special Interest”.
Sa Calobra
Sa Calobra is situated at 38 kilometres from Sóller, between Morro de sa Vaca and Morro de ses Fel.les and below the Puig Major (1445 metres high), the highest mountain of the Balearic Islands. The highlight of this very small beach with sand, gravel and pebbles comes after the pedestrian tunnel along the steep and abrupt cliffs, from where you can reach the wonderful mouth of the Torrent de Pareis, which has been an inspiration for artists and where there is a choir concert each summer due to the excellent acoustics. This fact explains that the beach is very popular both for local visitors and tourists on the seaway or on a spectacular road with 14 kilometres of curbs, 12 of 180 degrees and one of 360, known as Nus de sa Corbata (the knot of the tie), with 900 metres difference in level.
